RD-R1 and RD-R2 like a boombox, but with Stereo Mic and a Digital Recording mode

Ah Boomboxes… So many shameful memories, well at least for me… We all know how popular Boombox were in the past, those noisy sometimes really annoying portable Hi-Fi, are something, in most countries, of the past. But Today JVC, decided that it was just about time to get the Bombox trade back to track with a very interesting and promising new set of products, the RD-R1 and RD-R2 (Sounds a bit like R2-D2 too me).
These two new products goes beyond the Boombox concept and are in fact powerful Digital Voice/Audio recorders featuring a pair of Microphone, designed to record street artist performances.
Whether you are having fun in the street with your friend or giving a real “mini” concert, the RD-R1 and RD-R2 will record everything for you on a microSD or microSDHC Cards.
Both models are almost similar and record audio in MP3 or WAV files are well as accept MP3, WAV and AAC audio playback, but the high-end model the RD-R2 comes however with a Guitar and Mic input as well as a KORG connector.
The RD-R1 and RD-R2 will be available in Japan within February and will cost around 37,800 Yen for the RD-R2
