[EV Expo] EC-03, the Class Zero-Emission Electric Bike

Yamaha’s EC-03 is not the newest kind in town, but it was the first time for us to see this baby in the flash! Introduced for the first time in July 2020, the EC-03 features a new high energy density 50V lithium-ion battery manufactured by SANYO Electric and can achieves a running distance per charge of 43km at 30km/h on a flat road.

Finally Yamaha’s EC-03 is based on the Super Slim power Unit (Yamaha Integrated Power Unit – YIPU) from Yamaha that not only provide from 10 to 15% more torque on low-speed but make sure to offer an optimal usage of the power at hand.
