Sanyo Announces New Interactive Projector

Sanyo has announced the PLC-WL2503, a new multimedia projector with wide XGA (1280×800) resolution and an “Ultra Short Throw” of an 80-inch image from 34 inches away. Its shining feature is the interactive pen function, which utilizes a sensor, “newly developed software”, and a built-in infrared light pen to allow notes to be drawn on projected images. 13.8 x 5.7 x 15 inches (350.52 x 144.78 x 381 mm) and 10.4 lbs (4.72 kg); supports HDMI, 15-pin D-sub, RCA, and S-video. Going on sale at the end of this month, for a low, low price of 1700 USD.
By the way, the Sanyo US website has a “House of Worship” category in the projector listings By Market. Detailed image quality for hymn lyrics and scripture passages in spacious sanctuaries with bright daytime lighting, apparently.
