ZMP announces new Single-Seater Robot Electric Car, the RoBoCar

This is the 2nd Electric Robot Car from ZMP, with a previous model announced early February 2010, this new version comes with a newly developed autonomous system. Thanks to an array of sensors including a Stereo camera, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), speed sensor and laser range finders, this new Robot Electric car is capable to move around without the needs of any drovers with a stunning precision of 1 to 2cm.
The RoBoCar MEV will be available in three different flavors including:
- A drive-by-wire model capable to adapt its speed automatically and sold around 2.8 Million yen and named Unit A
- A Steer-by-wire model with automatic steering capability named Unit B and sold at around 4.8 Million Yen
- A Brake-by-wire model with stereo camera, IMU and Steer-by-Wire announced at 6.8 Million Yen.
