Takaratomy brings Uwe Meffert’s 3D GearCube in Japan

Uwe Meffert, is a German Genius who’s working on mechanical puzzles like the Rubik’s Cube for ages and has now teamed-up with Takaratomy in Japan to release its latest 3D wonder, the 3D GearCube. Based on the good old Rubik’s Cube, this 3D GearCube adds a “3D” aspect to this puzzle game by allowing you to rotate each tiny faces in almost every direction or angles.

Can this one be “solved” by taking out the corner and reassembling like the old Cube? I might be lost otherwise.

TO be clear, the orginal concept, design, and first prototype was made by a man named Oskar Van derventer. He is a Dutch puzzle maker with literally hundreds of puzzle.

@CyborgSix you’d have to unscrew a center the screw under one of the center caps. You shouldn’t need to do this though as the Gear Cube is significantly easier than a Rubik’s cube.
