Category: Image - Tags:
Let’s have a look at two Core Duo notebooks from Acer: the TravelMate 5560 is a 12.2″ PC weighs less than 1.5Kg and its bigger brother, the Aspire 5560, also has Core Duo and a 14″ screen.

I use Acer aspire 5560 less than 2 months but now the hard disk start making noise as it has been use for 2 years. Every time time hard disk works whether log into windows, starting windows, transfer or download small files or big files, it keeps making noise. Now it progress even worst because the hard disk sound is more significant. And the "F10′ button is not functioning. Really dissappoint with Acer manufacturing, quality control personnel.
When i check with my friend who own a Acer travel mate 4100 notebook series. He went to Acer service center at Malaysia, Subang for 4 times. Each time servicing different parts includes hard disk, main board. Don’t when is my turn visit the sevice centre.
Better think twice before you want to purchase ACER laptops.

Could it be that the hard drive you have is a lemon and is DYING?
hard disk dying? It is definitely an early sign of failure, i bet. better back up my things. What a Acer products!!! Any suggestion? I hope this hard disk is the only one have problem.
I had a Seagate hard drive once. It just quit working after 30 days of light use. Lost all data inside (since the disk cannot spin) and had to RMA it.
HDD may die like this for no reasons, I had 2 IMB HDD of 40GB each which after 10 month where dying…
Acer is a OK Brand, I prefer ASUS, but I advise you to backup your DATA thanks to ACRONIS True Image (to clone) and then a regular backup (copy paste)
Remove the HDD and buy a New one, a 7200rpm and U will be fine ! Now use acronis to reinstall your all system and VOILA !
thank you for your suggestion. i will try the software.
