Sotec will sell the WinBook DN6000 in Japan for only 700 EUR, and it has a 15″ screen (1280×800), a Turion 64 X2 TL-50 (1.60GHz), 512MB of RAM, 40GB of HDD SATA, a DVD DL Burner and an ExpressCard/54.
