[CES 2011] Toshiba integrate AMD Fusion in its Satellite C655D
Category: Laptops - Tags: Amd, AMD E240 APU., AMD Fusion, Ces, CES 2011, Engadget, Satellite, Toshiba

Not the most exciting PC ever made, the C655D from Toshiba used to be your average Joe laptop powered by your average Celeron or Dual Core Pentium CPU, but today Joanna Stern from Engadet reported that this PC now comes with AMD Fusion technology, something that we usually see on ultra portable notebook like the Lenovo X120e for example.
Announced at $400 USD, this 15.6” laptop, will come with an AMD E240 APU (CPU+GPU), a DVD drive, 4GB of RAM and 320GB of HDD.
Interesting move, and it seems that many companies like Sony will switch from low-end Intel CPUs to AMD ones… Will AMD get back the fame that it used to have?
