DTS and Lenovo set to bring stunning sound to everyone

DTS and Lenovo has signed an agreement to bring the DTS sound technology to Lenovo computers with the first product scheduled to be launched in China this year.
Beside today’s press release there is nothing much here, but I for one, welcome such a move. At least adding DTS technology into computers and making sure that it will work, may solve once and for all many problems that people are facing when trying to watch Blu-Rays or the latest Video on their PC.
Personally I would love that my HTPC gets native DTS support, it would at least allow me to enjoy watching Inception Blu-Ray movie on WMC with PowerDVD 10… And yep, even after installing DTS support on my X-Fi Card, nothing changed…
“Lenovo’s home digital products coupled with DTS technology will bring the highest quality home entertainment experience to consumers. This partnership absolutely underscores and emphasizes DTS’ commitment to expanding the availability of audio technology that will offer the ultimate entertainment experience.”
Digital home products with DTS audio decoding technology will allow the consumer to enjoy high definition content encoded with DTS Surround Sound. The integration of DTS technology, which has been widely adopted by major Hollywood content providers, enables Lenovo digital home products to deliver a more realistic and engaging entertainment experience.
“DTS is thrilled to partner with Lenovo, an internationally renowned PC maker, innovator and solution provider,” said Roy Law, Corporate Vice President and Greater China Managing Director at DTS, Inc. “Lenovo’s home digital products coupled with DTS technology will bring the highest quality home entertainment experience to consumers. “As DTS continues to expand its technology footprint in various connected CE products such as home theaters, PCs, game consoles and smartphones, the brand is quickly becoming a household name in the HD entertainment space. The company’s partnership with Lenovo further solidifies DTS’ position as a leading provider of high performance audio in the consumer market.
