Let’s Visit Tokyo – Teppanyaki Fever II

Let’s Visit Tokyo – Teppanyaki Fever II

I admit that during this period of long holidays I did not have much time nor much courage to shoot some video for you guys, however, yesterday for first lunch of the year my family and I decided to treat ourselves with a nice little Teppanyaki and could not resist to share this moment with you all… So like usual, seat back, kick-out your shoes, relax and enjoy the show!

What did he said? Your child speaks french, english and japanese?

    • Daimaou – G-A.G

That’s correct, my daughter speak Japanese, English and French. She speak Japanese with her mother, French with me and my parents, and English at School. She is more fluent in Japanese of course, but can speak pretty well in English and French without any accent problem. Pretty impressive for a 3 year old!

Also at home since my wife and I both speak in English to each other, my daughter’s language training never ends.

I wish I was born in multilingual family 8) Good for your kid.
Happy new year to your family.

Please create more food videos. I definitely prefer the videos without music. It helps those of us outside of Japan feel the Japanese atmosphere. We can see and listen as if we were there.

  • heretic

oh man oh man oh man, that looks ridiculously GOOD – more of these food vids please!

  • slavomiros

Great video of a wonderful experience. Please publish the name and location so I can visit on my next trip. I think I mentioned in the last teppanyaki blog that in Shinjuku there is “Serenas” on the 53rd floor of the Mitsitomo Bld. that is great (and expensive), and there is “Pandora” teppanyaki above the AM/PM down the alley from the Shinjuku post office. Very good and about half the price!! I recommend them both!
    thanks

That food looks awsome! I also love the Visit Tokyo videos. One big dream of mine to go to Japan. At least on vecation. Thank you so much for your effort making these vids!

This looks very similar to what’s called “hibachi” here in the US. Is it indeed the same thing?

Download link does not work anywheres and Vimeo it shows as “Not Available for Download”.
Could you please make it available as all your previous video were.
    Thanks.

    • Daimaou – G-A.G

was working fine last week we will check this ASAP

  • http://N/A Avram Potzik

Thanks for checking, but still cannot download file. Vimeo still says it is NOT available for DL, and neither the link on this page works – responds “request timed out” – nor the one on “Tokyo street view”. Tried 3 different browsers, Safari, Firefox and Google chrome (on my Mac mini) with the same result.

Most peculiar! BTW, who sets the permissions on Vimeo?

It is now 1910 hours, PST here in Oregon, US.

    Avi.

  • http://N/A Avram Potzik

Sorry to be a pest, but now I CANNOT download ANY of the videos on this and related sites! All I get is a spinning indicator in the browser download window, followed by a timed-out message after maybe 3 minutes.

I ‘ll try again early next week. Thank you.

  • http://N/A Avram Potzik

Ok – NO VIDEO on VIMEO can be downloaded, also! ALL are labelled “Sorry, not available for download.”

    Even going way back.

Neither can any on the “Akihabara ” link be downloaded.

Obviously, since the videos were available every where since day 1 , including Vimeo, someone has changed the permissions TOTALLY!

I think an explanation is in order to your long-term readers, in which group I include myself. This set of videos has been very useful to me in seeing what goes on in places in Tokyo, where I now can’t visit any longer – too costly!

Also, real time viewing is impossible because of marginal local internet speeds.

    Thank you.

    • Daimaou – G-A.G

First of all, just cool down a little ok? remember that this series of Videos is made during my free time (the week-end or holidays) while I would rather like to spend it to rest. Also these videos and content is FREE, you did not paid anything for it so do not expect to get the same QOS as paid ones. Finally we have a Server problem explaining why some videos are down… Everything should be back to normal by next week-end.

Now I believe you are in the US, we are using Vimeo a US based service and if you have any trouble Streaming Video from the US to the US, you should maybe check with your ISP.
