Samsung announced yesterday that they will showcase a new, Froyo-based, PMP at CES 2011. This Galaxy Player is 9.9mm thick and is meant to be a replica of Samsung’s hit Galaxy S phone. With 1GHz CPU, WVGA 4″ (800×480) LCD screen , T-DMB compatibility, SoundAlive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.2Mpixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera, GPS, HD video capability, and a microSD card slot, the only thing we can regret is the plainer than plain design. I swear, it’s like all manufacturers are trying to have their devices blend in with the others’. Soon the only way to tell them apart will be the brand.
Anyway, the Galaxy Player should come in 8, 16 and 32GB versions, and will theoretically be showcased alongside two other PMP models.
