TalkTorque, a friendly robot

The Tsukuba University recently updated their page on the TalkTorque Project. The project aims at building a robot that can serve as a non-verbal interface to communicate with humans. This funny looking little guy is rigged with different motors cameras and sensors, so as to perceive, analyze and reciprocate human gestures. This is the second, much improved, version of the robot but no schedule has been announced yet.
