PMP’s destroy PDA’s in Korea

A study was conducted by IDG in Korea, and the sales of PMP’s outnumber those of PDA’s by a long way. IDG predicts that roughly 6 million PMP’s will be sold in Korea in 2009. An interesting evolution, as Korea was one of the first countries to adopt PDA’s when they first hit the market, and this shift in Korea might be a prelude of what’s going to happen in Europe and the US later.
Still according to IDG, these PMP’s have more functions nowadays than PDA’s (GPS, DMB digital TV, radio, games and PIM functions).
