Green House’s recent trend of new products with an ecologically-conscious spin sees another addition with the introduction of new LED lightbulbs, the Hikario. It only pulls 7.7W and fits in any old E26 bulb socket, and are rated to last 40,000 hours; the company calculates that this bulb will only cost 2 yen of electricity for twelve hours of continuous operation, and emphasize that its long life means that maintenance costs and waste will go down, along with its lower CO2 consumption.
Two models are being released: a sunlight-colored model, the GH-LB603N, and a traditional-lightbulb-colored variant, the GH-LB603L. Available now.
