Next Samsung Galaxy Tab to include NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset

Word over at ubergizmo is that the Samsung Galaxy Tabs to come out will be equipped with NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 chipset. This news comes despite the Galaxy’s use of Samsung’s own dual core Hummingbird processor in the current version. We’ll be eager to learn what else will change with the Galaxy next month at CES.

    Ehm…the CPU of the Hummingbird SoC is most definitely *not* dual-core. Samsung is working on it’s own ARM Cortex A9-based dual-core SoC but that is not expected to be production ready until the second half of 2011, to late to catch the wave of dual-core tablets that will be released during the first quarter next year.
