N902iX HIGH-SPEED, HSDPA from DoCoMo

DoCoMo announced their new series of 3G bricks… yes, I do call these devices bricks as they get less and less sexy, heavier and uglier with every new release, and on top of that, DoCoMo, AU and Vodafone don’t care about the customers and charge them crazy prices for a mediocre sound quality and saturated networks. Samsung does present the occasional cool phone however. Anyway, if you’re in Japan, follow my example and get your 3G phones in Europe! Anyway, let’s get back to the N902iX, a 3G W-CDMA (UMTS) HSDPA phone that sees its data speeds boosted to 3.6Mbps (as opposed to the current 384Kbps). The phone itself also offers MP3 playback functions, and more info on the rest of the specs can be found here.
And FYI Japan isn’t even as well equipped as some European countries when it comes to HSDPA.
