Osaka-based Gunze, a textile manufacturer that seems to have a strong foothold in the underwear market has just announced a new collaboration and a foray into new territory, both in terms of their market and geography. Gunze will set up a joint venture with Young Lighting Technology Ltd. of Taiwan in which they will produce touch panels for smartphones at an operation in Guangzhou, China.
