A tablet, with a keyboard: is Gloria the mobile computing missing link?
With the surging popularity of modern gadgets such as the netbook, the smartphone, and now the tablet, it difficult both for developers and consumers to figure out just what kind of interface works for our current computing needs. A constant topic of discussion seems to be around the merits of a keyboard versus relying on the touchscreen alone. Netbooks, are a given, smartphones are on the fence, but the tablet has so far remained just a tablet, until now, perhaps. It seems that everyone is a buzzing today about rumors of Samsung’s release of a 10-inch tablet with slide-out keyboard called Gloria. It would run Windows 7 and might come out this spring.
