Sony’s flashlight radio

I didn’t dream about it, but Sony made it anyway! Here’s their ICF-B01, a radio that also has a LED light which makes it useful as an emergency flashlight and powered by a small lever to generate power. A similar system for generating power was already available for mobile phones. This really is the ultimate tool in Japan in case of an earthquake or any other kind of disaster. It’s always recommended over here to have an emergency bag ready with a flashlight and a radio in it, and mobile phones can be used too in case of earthquakes. At first glace, this product seemed a bit ridiculous, but when looking at it from another angle, it really might be handy.
