LG and VMware come together to push employee-owned smartphones

A new partnership has formed between LG and VMware with the goal to improve security on employee-owned devices so that they may be used for work related exchanges. Using VMware’s technology with LG smartphones the alliance hopes to allow end users more control of the phone of their choice, while allowing corporate IT departments the ability to apply enterprise-level security. This will eliminate the requirement that many currently face of having to carry both a work phone and personal phone. The resulting product should be available on LG phones starting next year.
