I suspect you have to love the spectacle of cars and the experience of driving to understand why this would be a fun little car to .

It’s a toy for the wealthy. If they were trying to design a car for the family they’d probably have made a… Oh wait, they already did. The Leaf. Judge the car by its own obvious target, not by how practical it is. If it’s not made to be practical, guess what, it won’t be.

A custom-made Ford model A or other retrofitted vintage car would be cheaper and look better. This is a $10,000 car, not a $70,000 car, especially with outdated lead-acid technology

Agree on the pricing being a rip off. What are they thinking? Its obviously designed to appeal to enthusiasts and its supposed to be a fun car. But if that’s the case no one is going to take it seriously. So why ask for so much money?

Japan is the worst country for rip off products.

Seriously guys, I already think the Leaf is ugly, but asking twice as much of this car is just a joke, I would have thought differently if the car cost 1 or 2 million yen. Don’t know if you realize but 6.3 Million yen is around 58,000 EUR or 77,000 USD. I like innovation but at this price and for what it does?

It’s not designed for doing the shopping, it’s not for taking the girlfriend to the restaurant etc etc – it’s a novelty and it serves that purpose well. No other car looks like it.

a) it’s better than anything you’ve done in your life and
b) your opinion counts because… because you like the Leaf? Who cares what you think? lol

whoops – writer fails to notice that not every car is designed for a family of five.

And this car looks beautiful and fun! “Unappealing” if you have no sense of style or romance…
