Softbank invest $150 million in Zynga, makers of Farmville

Softbank and Zynga have just announced their partnership in Japan. Together, the companies hope to take advantage of Zynga’s social game expertise and pair it with Softbank’s mobile and web technology to expand the mobile social gaming market here. Farmville, a Zynga success played over 54 million people each month on Facebook, is now being launched in a Japan specific version, created for the popular mobile mixi network. This is just one example of the ventures to come through this new collaboration.
