Exilim EX-Z1000, 10MP in your pocket

Casio presents a pocket digital camera with one of the highest resolutions available for this type of cameras. They pack a 10.1MP sensor in a 92×22.4×58.4mm and 139g box, and other than this high resolution you also get a 2.8″ screen and 3x optical zoom. I do have my doubts though… how can such a small device exploit 10MP to the fullest?

I have a Casio EX-Z750, which was released last year. This and the 8mp camera they just released are very similar in form factor to this new camera.

But, where are the waterproof housings for these cameras? Previous models had housings made, but not this series. I was hoping they’d be released in the last year.
