New Panasonic Let’s 5 series

Panasonic renews its notebook range, and after the 4 series, we get the 5 series with, as usual, the R, the W, the T and the Y5. So what’s new? Well, the Pentium M is replaced by new Intel processors: the R, W and T series get a Core Solo U1300 (1.06Ghz) and the Y gets a Core Duo T2300. The Y adopts most of the changes: it loses a few grams and drops below the 1.5kg barrier (1.49kg), the casing can resist to a pressure of 100kg (50kg for the Y4) and the keyboard is waterproof! Panasonic also announces a battery life between 7 and 9 hours for this model (All other models had aslo a boost on their battery Life Spam)

All machines get a UATA 60GB HDD, but the Y and the W do not get the new Blu-Ray burner we talked about last week.
