Sony CE America Files Patents, Maybe for PSP2?

Sony Computer Entertainment of America has filed seven patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office, with such goodies as “two-fingered touch”, “unfortunately… the user’s fingers often obscure the part that is to be selected”, and “the visual display is disposed on a front side of the case and the touch pad is disposed on a back side of the case” – a multitouch touchpad on the back of a candybar-shaped PSP2 which controls elements on the front display of the handheld console, maybe? Like the Motorola Backtrack?
We’ve not really reported on PSP2 leaks here, but the text in the seven patents and previous leaks reported elsewhere suggest several different designs, including a slider like the PSP Go (which was binned for overheating issues), a clamshell like the Nintendo DS, and a simple slate or candybar shape like the first Playstation Portable.
