BenQ Announces Two New Projectors

BenQ Japan has announced two new projects in their MX line, the MX710 and MX711, today. The two models only differ in brightness, with the MX710 packing a 2700 lumen light, while the MX711 is rated at 3200 lumens. Both can display a 65-inch 1024×768-pixel image at two meters (6.5 ft), with input from VGA, HDMI, S Video, and RCA composite; along with a USB port for computer-less displaying of image files (JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and PNG filetypes supported), as well as an Ethernet port for over-network projecting (up to eight computers, with up to four-input split-screen display capabilities). Remote controlling over a network is also supported, and the projectors have an RS232 port as well. 311x104x244 mm (12.25×4.1×9.6 in) and 2.7 kg (6 lbs); BenQ expects the MX710 to retail at 79,800 JPY and the MS711 at 89,800 JPY. Both projectors only come in pearl white, and will be available this Friday, the 3rd of December.
The outward appearance of the two projectors appear to be exactly the same – which makes sense if the light source is the only difference between the two models – so the images in the gallery below are of the MX710 only.
