Nissan Introduces The One Piece Car

Nissan Serena One Piece

Today I went to a joint press conference by Nissan and Fuji TV in Odaiba, where the two companies unveiled the result of their latest collaboration: the One Piece car, also known as Thousand Serena. The car itself is a typical Nissan minivan, but adorned with One Piece-theme decorations, such as the infamous straw hat-wearing skull on the rear-view mirror and tires. The car was unveiled by none other than D. Luffy himself who had made a special guest appearance. (Only in Japan!)

You will be able to spot the Thousand Serena in special One Piece spots on Fuji TV from December 5, 2010 onward. Fans of the series will also be able to purchase a limited-edition phone strap featuring Chopper.

The Thousand Serena (the purple, unadorned version!) will be available in February 2011 for an as yet unknown price.
