Mecha-Ohmu brings us a little bit closer to the world of Nausicaä

Make Tokyo, the event for makers, was going on this past weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get there, but we were able to see this cool robot, inspired by the Miyazaki film, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, online. It was a three year hobby project by Professor Gen Endo. Mecha-Ohmu can detect bumps and bright lights, and responds accordingly.
