Takafumi Horie, controversial enterpreneur and former CEO of Japanese web portal service Livedoor (before being arrested on suspicion of securities fraud and money laundering, which many claim was a politically-motivated conspiracy to discredit him, his business, and his “un-Japanese” ways), has revealed in a series of tweets that he is very satisfied with his iPhone, lauding its graphical interface and Apple’s deep integration between hardware and software – to the point of blasting current-generation Android phones; but is less impressed with SoftBank’s piss-poor network and the company’s seemingly un-customer-oriented services, voicing his decision (or impending decision) to switch to Nippon Tsushin, a small outfit that buys surplus network bandwidth from SoftBank competitor NTT Docomo and sells imported non-SIM-locked iPhones.
