Concept Smartphone Saves Power with Dual-Mode Screen, Looks Amazing

It’s that time of day (or night, depending on where you are) to drool over conceptual phone designs again. The Second Life Mobile Phone Concept (which I’m sure has no relation to the game) is a transparent little thing with an AMOLED screen that switches to black-and-white E-ink when in standby mode, conserving power. The transparency of the phone itself changes with the battery level, becoming more transparent when running out of power (but not too transparent, hopefully). Along with the obvious aesthetic pros of the design, using a transparent phone may help with not walking into people while intently perusing the screen, although I say this with only a modicum of seriousness.
The concept images seem to suggest the designers, Cho Sinhyung and Jeon Jungjae, intend these phones to run Android.
