Fujitsu not overlooking touchy hoopla, resistive touch panels now standard for Windows 7
Category: Peripherals - Tags: Fujitsu, Fujitsu Components America, resistive touch, Touch, Windows 7

Fujitsu Components America is the first, but surely not the last, manufacturer to receive official certification on resistive multi-input panels for the North American market. On the heels of Apple’s announcement of the future of touch interfaces, Fujitsu’s panel that becomes standard for Windows 7 users is capable of registering single-tap, multi-touch input (pinch, pull, rotate, flick, swipe and scroll gestures) and handwriting, using any object, such as a gloved or bare finger, or pen cap. The panels will come in a range of sizes; 5.6-inch, 7.0-inch and 12.1-inch sizes with prices ranging from $60 to $120. The units become available in January 2011.
