Olympus upgrades its E-PL1 with the E-PL1s and announces the World lightest camera

Behold the new and “Slightly” improved (hence the “s” ?) Olympus E-PL1s. Available in default in Red, White and Black the E-PL1s is “almost” identical to the E-PL1 with the exception of featuring a new battery the BLS-5 instead of the BLS-1 found on the E-PL1 and E-P2, as well as an upgraded ISO Range now going up to ISO6400 instead of a 3200 found on the E-PL1. So beside these changes, both the E-PL1 and E-PL1s are just identical!
Sold with a new M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II lens, Olympus can also announce that the E-PL1s is the world lightest interchangeable lens camera yet! Indeed with a weight of just 112g for the lens and 342g for our camera body (plus battery) the E-PL1s and its lens kit offers you a stunning package for less than 500g ! (454g).
Note : While I must admit that having a “light” lens can be a plus when traveling I have to admit that I never liked Olympus Micro 4/3rd lenses due to their plastic and weak construction/feeling, and having an even lighter lens may not reassure me next time I am playing with such camera.
