Bamboo Speaker by Panasonic

The Doshisha University and Panasonic have collaborated to work on a speaker that uses bamboo fibres instead of the currently used fibres in the speakers for HiFi sets. Bamboo has the advantage that it’s much more resistant and it also offers a more extensive sound range when compared to other materials. Despite the higher cost of this kind of product, Panasonic would like to release such speakers in 2007. Bamboo is also a natural product and it grows very fast (much faster than regular types of wood for example). Producing these speakers will thus not damage our beloved planet too much.
