1 million Purimo Puere… and what about me?

Bandai offers the “Purimo Pueru” for a few years already, a taking furry animal that talks and is aimed at the female population in Japan. A growing number of females is living by themselves over here and the same goes for the 60+ population. This small furry animal keeps you company and talks to you. It’s capable of greeting you when you get home for example. Bandai has sold about a million of these, and now they have released a new version that can sing! As time goes by, its singing capabilities improve too. So to all the females in Japan: know that there are a huge number of people outside of Japan that are willing to keep you company… and probably wash the dishes too.

    For years ? Millions ?
I can’t find it on eBay, only 2 answers in google English, and I can’t read bandai.co.jp

So where is it hiding ? Please help me getting one and some product page about it.

A little Katakana helps a lot, "Purimo Pueru" becomes [sorry the forum software cannot handle Mac Kana] that gives some 300,000 hits on Google.

One of the first is Amazon.co.jp that offers the thing for about ¥5.000. They probably wont sell you one, however, if you are outside Japan.

But all is not lost, a shopping agent such as Crescent shop will get it for you for a small fee. All inclusive S&H my guess is that you will have to pay about ¥10,000, ie around $100.

    Good luck, Bertil

Tips: Copy the Amazon page Kana title and past it into Google if you want to search there.

BTW: The Bandai web site claims that they have sold 1 million on five years!
