Canon Expo 2010, a “must” for all Canon enthusiasts
Canon enthusiasts or simple tech savvy visitors, the Canon Expo 2010 that will start to be available for the public tomorrow is a “Must” if you are in Tokyo.
While there is nothing really new and that has not been already announced in Japan or overseas, the Canon Expo 2010 gives you in one place everything that Canon is actually working on or proud to share.
Among the note worthy things that was displayed in Japan I finally had the chance to play with Canon amazing 4K Concept Camera, and to be honest with you I can’t wait to get this baby in hands for real. I am sure that if Canon really wanted to, they would be now capable to produce this real monster, but 4K adoption is still faraway for must of us, still, a simple Full HD Version of this model would definitively change the way we shoot videos.
Another interesting part of this event was Canon’s unfortunately rather small “Design” which includes the Canon EOS 7D Body birth and design evolution as well as their Canon IXY 30S drawing board where we can clearly see that Canon took its inspiration on Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 (That we enjoyed testing on ManualGear.com).
Canon Filesharing Media Station (Link include Video) introduced at Paris Canon EXPO 2010 was also available in Japan, not much to say here as well but we can only hope to see such product in store soon.
Finally Canon displayed its latest Professional Cameras including some Canon 5D MK II Pro Setup, their fantastic XF305 (I finally had the chance to play with it and I JUST LOVE IT), some Broadcast and Studio Camera, a 4K Video projection thanks to two Full HD Video protectors and their line-up of design calculators and dictionaries.
A nice little expo that we would love to see more often from Canon and other manufacturers, so if you are in Tokyo this week and have some spare time, go and check this event located closed to Shinagawa train station.
