Logitec to Sell Consumer Drive Recorder

Logitec to Sell Consumer Drive Recorder

Drive recorders are the norm on trucks, taxis, and patrol cars in Japan and overseas, in order to record alibi data and company statistics info, but Logitec is getting in on providing these amazing devices for consumer-level use, with the LVR-SD100BK drive recorder to go on the market in mid-November.

Along with a crash sensor that automatically saves data sixty seconds before and after the event, the device also has a button that allows the user to save a sixty-second recording whenever he or she wants. An LCD screen allows reviews of the data on the spot, and a red-white-yellow RCA port allows for analog video exporting to a portable movie player or carnav. Additionally, a three-axis sensor records the orientation of the car, and a built-in microphone also records sound for later playback of traffic stops by police officers, should that ever become necessary. A 2GB SD card that comes with the device will record up to 2.5 hours of video, and the SD slot also supports SDHC for more storage space.
