Riding the wave of the 10gigabit Ethernet standard ratified in 2006 is Planex’ new Cat 6A (CNT6A series) and Cat 7 (CNT7 series) twisted-pair cables, each in black or white, and each in 1-, 2-, 3-, 5-, or 10-meter lengths. Planex insist that crosstalk and line noise are kept down to a minimum because each dataline is made of a single length of copper wire, the terminals in the (mistakenly-referred-to) RJ45 plug are staggered vertically, and the CNT7 series cables use shielded twisted pairs.
These cables will go on sale in late November.
