Hitachi has released what it claims is the thinnest 2.5-inch external hard drive in the world. The G-Drive Slim is in fact a 320GB USB-powered 7mm Travelstar Z5K320 hard drive housed in a 128.6- x 82- x 9.9mm aluminum case. They are sold formatted for exclusive Mac use (but you can also format them). Price tag $99.99 at any Apple Store.
