After appearing in customer’s hands in countries like the UK and US, the Dell Streak is finally appearing in Japan as the SoftBank 001DL – all five inches of its screen, with Gorilla glass cover, the 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 5megapixel camera, and – per SoftBank’s promise, as with every other smartphone announced today – with Android 2.2.

The Streak will, along with the two Sharp Galapagos smartphones also announced today, receive support for the SoftBank Bookstore; pre-orders are accepted starting the 12th of this month.
