[Hands-On] Konami ROAD FIGHTERS, The Next Gen 3D Arcade cabinet is now waiting for you!

Announced in Japan last September the ROAD FIGHTERS arcade game is Konami first commercial Next generation Arcade Cabinet and Arcade Game using 3D Technology.

Strong from their success at AOU 2010 with Metal Gear Arcade 3D, and using the same technology found on your High-end 3D TV, Konami ROAD FIGHTERS brings together to good old Road Racing Arcade game experience to a new level of sophistication with mind blowing graphic and truly impressive 3D effect.

Konami ROAD FIGHTERS concept is not something new per se, basically you have here a basic arcade racing game where your goals is to go from point A to point B the fastest possible on different tracks with seven different level of difficulties (With more to come soon) ranging from the “Nascar Like” Track to the most difficult one, the “Yamatoge Kudari”, where you will have to drive down a mountain winding road, similar to ones found in Japan with endless hard corner and narrow streets.

Now comfortably installed in Konami’s Arcade Cabinet it is time for your to choose between several racing game mode ranging for the good old VS Mode (Versus Mode), the Road Fight Challenge, the Time Attack and the Road Fighters Mode allowing you to play up to 4 person at the same time (within your location).
To make things even more interesting, Konami decided to add to ROAD FIGHTERS its e-AMUSEMENT PASS system allowing to not only keep up your score data, best track time but also giving you the possibility to fine tune your car and to allow you to get first hands on Konami latest ROAD FIGHTERS goodies and future cars.

With realistic tracks, Konami also decided to stick as much as possible to reality by providing you with a selection of six cars, widely available in Japan including the almighty Nissan GT-R SpecV but also the impressive Audi R8 4.2 FSI Quattro (The V8 version), the Lancer Evo X GSR, the Ford GT, theMINI Cooper S, and oddly a Toyota Vellfire Mini VAN.

Already fun and impressive as it is, Konami ROAD FIGHTERS, got its real potential unleash thanks to its 3D relief screen increasing not only the game shear fun but also drastically improving the car speed feedback.
Add to this sharp HD like graphics displayed on a gorgeous Monitor, and “voila” you have in front of you one of the most well polished and fun arcade game that we have the chance to played with since a long time.
