Canon to apply for patent on new 24-70 F/2.8L lens
Canon has applied for a patent on a reworking of their most famous lens, the 24-70 (current version has been around since 2002). According to rumors, the lens might be a bit bigger, a bit pricier ($1500?) and with better optical quality.
Obviously, no word on a possible release date.
