Samsung BD-P1000, the Blu-Ray player destined for the USA

Samsung had already announced their BD-P1000, a home DVD and BD player, andnow they have released the infor that it will be available in the US mid-May. Good news, and it looks very good too, but releasing a player that supports ONLY BR might not be such a good idea.

Do you remember the release of DVD rom burners? They were extremely buggy and had a ton of hardware related issues. Plus their cost were in the high hundreds at best. If history taught us a lesson its that new technology doesn’t mean best technology, we need to let it evolve a bit before we get our feet wet.
