The new Sharp Zaurus SL-C3200 !

Here’s the brand new Sharp SL-C3200, so what’s new? Bluetooth? Wireless LAN?? NO, not at all. Ok, the HDD gets a bump from 4 to 6GB, you get a ton of software to learn English in collaboration with the (very bad) Enlish school called NOVA so that you can improve your TOEIC score (the one that increases if your English gets worse). So yet another disappointing release by Sharp, that see their pocket computers, release after release, transformed more and more into an oversized dictionary.

It’s really sad they can’t make a Zaurus that’s really useful and capable. What’s up with these companies? Where are the decent handhelds? Is everyone just waiting for Apple to come along and monopolize the market with something cute and less capable?
BTW, I’m not sure NOVA is that bad. My wife improved her non-Japanese languages there. And after all, they teach French too.
Perhaps the prices for the SL-C3100 will drop with the release of this one? For most people outside of Japan the software on the Zaurus really doesn’t matter that much.. (at least, for those who load a different ROM on the device)
it may drop the price of the 3100 but soon it will be replaced by the 3200
