MSI’s Mega Book MS-1057, the first Ultra Core Duo

To our knowledge (so we could be totally wrong here, but we like to take chances), this is the first real ultra (compact notebook) that is boosted with a Core Duo (or Solo, depending on the configuration). MSI releases this MS-1057 in Japan, and it should be available with a T2000 CPU (so a Duo) or a T1000 (a Solo). There are 2 DDR2 667 memory slots that can hold a max of 2GB of RAM, it has a 12.1″ 1280×800 screen, Audio HD (Dolby Home Theater), a DL and RAM DVD burner, ExpressCard and you also get a (feeble) 1.5h of battery life with the 2200mAh battery or if you opt for the 4400mAh one, you get 4 hours. All this kit is squeezed into a 303x225x26mm and 1.9kg package.
