Sharp to stop selling and manufacturing PCs from now on.

Sharp, according to Nikkei, announced yesterday that it will no longer sell and manufacturer PC (Personal Computer) including both laptop and desktop. While sharp was not clean on when it will cease all PC production, the company however stress that this will be done very shortly.
Despite being well accepted by customers, the company decided to give up on selling PCs in Japan in order to fully concentrate its effort on its newly develop e-Book technology with their Galapagos Tablet schedule to hit store this December in Japan.
The good news however, is that Sharp will continue to provide ultra compact devices including their Netwalker series. Also, Sharp underline that this is just a “Strategic” move from now on and that the company may one day come back into the PC market in the future.
