MSI’s N480GTX Lightning, the fastest GPU in the world?
Msi just launched its version of the infamous GeForce GTX 480 graphics card, the N480GTX Lightning, and man, I want one so bad! Just look at those specs:
With its 750 MHz Core and 1536MB GDDR5 4000MHz memory, the N480GTX packs a helluva performance punch. Better still, it uses the ultra-stable, high-perf Power4 Architecture (16 phase PWM on GTX 480, independent Memory Power, Copper MOS with 2x high current capacity, Proadlizer x 4 to optimized power supply) and comes equipped with the latest addition to Msi’s home-grown Twin Frozr thermal solution, Twin Frozr III: Dual 9CM PWM Fans, SuperPipe Technology, Nickel-plated Copper bas, High-Density Fins and Form-in-one Heatsinks.
The card is designed for Extreme GPU overclocking, but users can also tweak the voltage of GPU/Memory/PLL2. This triple overvoltage function gives performances a whopping 34% boost compared to factory settings. It’s exclusively made of top quality, military-grade components: LPL (Lightning Power Layer) for stable power supply, Golden-plated Connectors for better signal transmission.
Price is around 550$.
