Audio-Technica announced a wide gamut of new product in a snazzy press event today at their headquarters in Ochanomizu, Tokyo, hosted by radio DJs Sasha and Taro. Korean singer Boa also appeared to help promote the new products.

Ten new headphone models, including an “audio-technica for Woman” [sic] model with pink and light pink colors (cue groan); six earphone models, such as the ATH-CK400i canal earphones with inline TRRS mic/remote; an Apple iDevice headphone amplifiers with remote buttons, along with a limited blue-color edition; a stereo cartridge and an HDMI selector box were introduced. ATH-DWL5500 wireless headphone system: Wireless (2.4GHz) headphones, with virtual 5.1- or 7.1-channel surround sound using Dolby PrologicIIx. On sale November 19.

AT-SL931HD HDMI selector: Supports 3D, Deep Color, x.v.Color, LipSync, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio signals in full 1080p HD, with one HDMI connector in the front as well to easily and quickly connect digital video or still cameras. On sale November 19.

ATH-PRO700MK2: Fully-enclosed DJ headphones, with removable cable – good news for people who always end up having to buy new headphones because their cables get frayed or broken. In stores November 11.

ATH-PRO5MK2: Fully-enclosed pro-series DJ headphones in three color schemes – black, silver, and green forest camo – with 1300mW output. On sale November 19.

ATH-SJ33, ATH-SJ55: Portable headphones in black or white; can be folded for greater portability and mobility. The SJ55 model has a more powerful bass and weighs 120g; the SJ33 weighs in at 110g. On sale November 19.
ATH-SJ11: Portable headphones in five color schemes – black, black-green, black-pink, white, and white-pink. Light weight for long use – 90g. On sale November 19.

ATH-BB500: Portable 210-gram headphones a little beefier than the preceding three models; these wrap around the back of the head for those inclined toward interesting hair features around the tops of their heads. On sale November 19.

ATH-ANC25: Portable active noise-canceling headphones dubbed QuietPoint, with a foldable structure weighing 104 grams (battery and cable excluded). These noise-canceling headphones will still play audio even when its battery runs out. On sale December 10.

ATH-RE70: Fully-enclosed retro-style portable headphones with a 1.2-meter cable ending in an L-shaped plug. 150 grams, in black or white. On sale next week, on the 15th.

ATH-FW33: Named “Bijoué”, comes in black, brown, white, pink, and light pink, wih an angular design that look like something straight out of a cosmetics commercial on TV. 65 grams, which is nice. On sale on the 15th of October.

ATH-CKM99: High-quality canal earphones in a titanium and stainless housing. Dynamic 14mm-diameter driver rated at 104dB/mW. On the 19th of November.

ATH-CKM77: Canal earphones with a new 13mm-diameter driver developed just for this model, in a hybrid metal housing like the preceding earphones. On November 19.

ATH-CM707: The first earphones in Audio-Technica’s Earsuit series, in an precision-cut aluminum alloy housing. On the 10th of December.

ATH-EC707: Also in Audio-Technica’s Earsuit line, with over-ear hooks and a precision-cut aluminum alloy housing. On the 10th of December.

AZTH-CK400i: Canal earphones with a TRRS jack and inline three-button mic/remote for Apple’s products, in black, black-green, blue, red, pink, and white. Goes on sale next week.

AT-PHA31i: Headphone amplifiers for iDevices in black or white, with a 30-pin dock connector and five remote buttons; BYOHeadphones. On the 10th of December. There’s also a limited edition run in blue, set for the same date and price.

ATH-CKS90LTDII: Canal headphones with Solid Bass; this is a limited-edition run in blue. On sale December 10.

AT33PTG/II: magnetic stereo cartridge for record players. 6.9 grams at 1.6×1.66×2.65cm. On the 19th of November.

AT-DL3i: Digital transporter for iPods and iPhones, to directly send high-quality digital signals to audio systems onboard cars with a coax cable. On Sale at the end of this year. Optional remote control set, the AT-DL3iR.
