Sony upgrade its Vaio Z and announces the Z13.

Sony announced this morning that it will upgrade its actual Vaio Z early October with many little hardware improvements including the apparition of an Intel Core i5-560M CPU as well as more powerful Intel Core i7-640M and the choice between a 750GB of HDD or 512GB of SSD.
The New Vaio Z comes also with SDXC card support, an Nvidia GeForce GT330M with 1GB of VRAM and new lid colors.

working with a z11, I like the powerhorse this laptop have to offer, however I still think it’s big.
I’m still looking for replacing my trusty fujitsu biblo-loox p50wn (p1610 in the rest of the world).

      @dvhh
Same here. I have used a P1620 for a year now and I really like the small size. Too bad Fujitsu canceled the P16xx line.

    & what about USB 3.0 ??,

  • Pires Machine

Yup, still waiting for the usb 3.0 *.*

  • Allen

Since the recent Sony refresh of lower end models includes USB 3.0, I think it likely that this will include that too. I also am waiting for USB 3.0 on the Z before I consider buying. It would be crazy for them not to include it on their top model.

  • Allen

I just spoke with a Sony rep. It will have USB 3.0

  • redThd

    2 things:

    - it might not include 3.0 as it’s not sony’s but intel’s architecture that has to offer this…
    - I would not bother buying such an expensive laptop still including the GT330M considering an m11x does have the 335 which is way faster in real life… and considering the 4xx series is already being built into laptops….

Other than that, a great laptop and it’s worth paying for it more than for other brands

sorry to disappoint you guys but i checked in the japanese website and it’s not include USB 3.0
and it a shame because other then this this is amazing computer!!!
