Let’s Visit Tokyo – Jiyugaoka B… The Sony NEX-VG10 Editions.

Let’s Visit Tokyo - Jiyugaoka B... The Sony NEX-VG10 Editions.

Good morning everyone, today’s Let’s Visit Tokyo is unfortunately not what I was supposed to publish… Yesterday morning, under the rain I spent an hour and a half shooting a nice little place in Tokyo with Sony’s latest NEX-VG10 camera, and everything went just fine until I wanted to share with Kei some of my footage until for the second consecutive time, the NEX-VG10 corrupted my SD Card… And despite all my effort I could not recover any of the video I shot… Not sure if this is a problem with the SD Card (working just fine on my GH1) or the NEX-VG10.

Disappointed, wet, tired and without much time in my hands, I decided to shoot some video at Jiyugaoka B… Well I won’t spoil you the pleasure to find what’s behind the B… so if you want to know you will have to watch the video.

Note : the NEX-VG10 is an interesting Camera but not what I was hoping for; this NEX-VG10 is still “too” close to a DSLR than a real video camera to be used as a professional tool and it will require you patience and time to really master it… Also, don’t trust the NEX-VG10 Monitor or view finder, videos on it are darker than in reality, this explain why all the shoots on the video below are over exposed.

Must be a nice place for drinks and burgers and for relaxing. Well, now i am hungry. ;-)

How were the burgers, they look so attractive and appetising in the video! I didn’t mind the ‘brightness’ of it, it suits the food setting of this particular video I think :P
Sorry to hear about the corrupt SD card :(

Hmmmm….if closer to dslr then how does it compare with shooting the GH1?

  • Ike

I don’t mind the overexposion, it actually fits the lounge music and gives “caractère” to the airy/light setting. Very relaxing to watch.

Who performed the background music ?
