Let’s Visit Tokyo – TiltShift Fun.

Let’s Visit Tokyo - TiltShift Fun.

This week video will be rather different from the ones of the other weeks by just being an experiment. Today we won’t travel around any specific place in Tokyo but we will in fact play with the “Tiltshift” effect of Canon latest Point & Shoo the S95. As you must be aware Canon sent us alongside the 60D a S95, and a rather quite interesting aspect of this camera is its Tiltshift (Fake) effect that can be applied even on 720p videos.

And Kei could not resist in Shooting a total of 1h worth of video from the roof of our building that I edited for you and shrunk into rather compact size of around 6 minutes.

Anyway check this video out, and if you were looking for a great compact Camera, the S95 IS the camera to get right now!

So the Tiltshift is just the faked shallow depth of field focus. Hmmm don’t know that adds much. The timelapse editing though made for an interesting video.

  • Leif

    That was fun. Thanks

Well done! Selective focus via tilt is often used to simulate a miniature scene..Is there
any software to be used to do the same effect on photos?

    Thx

  • Mark

LOL, when I saw that picture I first thought it was an actual miniature scene.
